My husband and I are Kona residents and thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this spacious, elegant and comfortable Vista Waikoloa property. We especially enjoyed the interesting and beautiful Hawaiian art and a nice selection of Hawaiian guidebooks. The well-stocked kitchen is amazing and a dream for those who enjoy cooking. There are even fresh fish recipes in the owner’s manual. The mountain views from the second floor, end unit lanais were very nice. We also enjoyed the poinciana tree lined entrance to the Vista property as well as watching a variety of local Hawaiian birds from the lanais which overlook a golf course. While staying in Waikoloa, we took the opportunity to explore some favorite places in Hawi including lunch at the historic Bamboo Restaurant, the Pololu Valley and the lovely drive back through the Kohala mountain ranching country to Waimea, which has an amazing variety of places to eat and a lovely KTA grocery store.
